A few weeks before we left for Canada (Yes, we moved! But more on that later), I was invited by Omron Healthcare to a special treat with fellow Mommy Bloggers to learn more on how to better manage kids and adult asthma in a more efficient and effective way. This was actually their first time to collaborate with mommy bloggers, and I was so thrilled that almost all the OG mommy bloggers in Manila were there. Perfect way to sort of end my blogging events in the Philippines. I got to see a few mommy bloggers that I’ve grown close with over the past 6 years.

While I am quite fortunate that none of the #SantiagoBros have asthma (so far, we learned that this can suddenly develop anytime), many other moms have the challenging tasks of managing their kids’ respiratory issues. Omron Healthcare aims to create an awareness as well as a household partnership with parents to let them know that they are not alone in this battle and that Omron can help effectively manage Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease or COPD.

Omron is a global brand and leader in advanced automation, sensing and control techonlogy and home healthcare since 1933. Omron Healthcare Co. develops and manufactures health equipment for home and medical use, as well as health management software and health promotion services.

Pediatrician Dr. Anjanette O. Reyes – De Leon, M.D., shared to us mommies important information about the most common respiratory problems and how to manage them.

While Jacob and Joaquin really don’t have asthma, we have had to deal with a lot of respiratory issues because of their allergic rhinitis. To my surprise, the causes or allergens are also the same for people with asthma or COPD.

Moms got to ask questions on how to deal with asthma, if what they’re doing is right, or other tips for parents with asthmatic kids. I know Frances of Topaz Horizer, and her little boys have asthma.

After Dr. Reyes-De Leon’s talk, Omron Healthcare revealed to us moms the most compact and quiet nebulizer we’ve ever seen. Seriously, the old bulky one we used for the boys back home can be mistaken for a vacuum cleaner with its noise!

The CompAir Nebulizer System NE-C801, with its Virtual Valve Technology, (V.V.T.) is a compressor nebulizer system that was developed for the efficient management of asthma, chronic bronchitis, allergies and other respiratory disorder. The V.V.T. provides highly efficient nebulization that reduces wasting medication. Ever noticed that after you nebulize, there seem to still be some fluid inside the medicine holder? The NE-C801’s compressor forces air to the nebulizer kit that converts the prescribed medication into aerosol microscopic droplets that can easily be inhaled. It boasts of an efficient nebulization rate of 0.3ml per minute!

And because of its compact and lightweight size, you can carry and use this nebulizer anywhere! Now that’s helping patients #BreatheEasywithOmron! We got to see the CompAir Nebulizer System in action and it was really quiet! The important thing is that you buy the nebulizing kit from Omron only, the mask and the tube you can basically use anything from the drugstore, but the body of the kit where the valve is, it should come from Omron only to make sure that it works efficiently as it should.

We played a few games in between lunch and the talks, our team actually won too!

Shen of Shen’s Addiction with the NE-C801. Naks, mowdel!

You can check out more about the NE-C801 on Omron’s website here. Follow them on Facebook to get the latest updates and promotions.

Omron also offers healthcare products such as blood pressure monitors, thermometers, nebulizers, body fat analyzers, step counters and pulse massagers.
