We are 8 days in and I had just found the time to sit down for a few minutes and write. I had just put down the boys for their afternoon nap, but knowing Wacky, he’ll be awake in a few minutes so let me make this quick! No, no resolutions for this Momma. My goal this year is to make things better in all aspects of our lives: faith, family, health, and wealth!

I hope everyone’s holidays were fantastic! Ours was just spent mostly at home spending our much much needed quality time. You see, Oscar works for an Australian-based company so he doesn’t get Philippine holidays off like majority of you probably do. So we never really get to go on long weekend vacations because his only days off are Saturdays and Sundays. It is only during the holidays that they get a few days of paid leave. I am always excited when December comes around because we can have his full attention for a few days.

No fancy, formal family photo for us this year! I had no time to buy nice clothes at all!

We spent Christmas day in Manila and Marikina with family. We weren’t able to visit Bulacan this year because of Wacky’s high maintenance condition. He was currently on a round of oral steroids and antibiotics plus many lotions and baths daily because of his atopic dermatitis or eczema. More on that later. We felt that if we had gone and traveled far away from the comfort of homes, we might get off track with his current routine. Plus, I was on a strict elimination diet because of allergies that many be causing his eczema. It’s a terrible diet. I’ll really write about this later.

I love Christmas because it’s like everyone’s required to see everyone! Oscar’s side of the family rarely becomes complete throughout the year’s many occasions. But come Christmas, everyone is there!

New Year’s Eve, we were at my in-law’s house so we can be around little fireworks smoke as possible. Fireworks are not allowed within a few kilometers around their place in Makati as part of a still on-going precaution because of a gas leak. We had dinner at Barcino’s, not your typical family restaurant, but apparently all restaurants were booked on New Year’s Eve! I had the yummiest dinner I’ve had so far. They ordered vegetarian paella and it was soooo good! I actually ate the left overs after midnight!

You can’t tell I’m busy, because it’s not like office, running around busy. It’s Mommy busy I think. Joaquin has been extra clingy to me lately, even crying pretty hard when his Dad is already carrying him. We are thinking that it was because I left him for a few hours with Oscar while I went out to the grocery with my cousins from Australia. He might have been traumatize of being away from me because he’s never away from me. So ever since that night, he would scream cry until I get a hold of him. Seriously, the moment I carry him, he stops. As in, stop!

Anyway, I need to reboot myself and have more time to write. I seriously think it’s not healthy for me to just make my every waking moment about the kids. I need time to myself, whether it’s going to the salon (haven’t been in months), or getting my nail done (haven’t gone in a year!!!), or blogging (you know where I’m getting at). I’d probably make a post on how my day goes just to give you a peek. πŸ™‚

Oh, oh! My blog’s anniversary is apparently coming up on January 11th! wasn’t able to celebrate my 1st and 2nd year anniversary, I think? Well, let’s change that! I’ll whip up a giveaway for you guys because you’ve been there for me no matter if I’ve been writing every day or every week or every month. Thank you, thank you! Okay, I have to go because the little one is starting to fuss in bed!
