After 3 days of working on this little baby, backing up files and pictures, making sure I don’t lose anything, making sure every thing fits perfectly and all plugins are working right, we are finally up and running! Welcome to the new look of Mr. Jacob’s Mom! This was actually supposed to be done end of September, but I had so many things going on last month that it was only this week that Oscar and I got around to doing it. But I’m happy it’s done and the design is just how I wanted it. Well, if you can call the ‘design’ that. It’s not really much if you look around. I wanted it to be simple and straightforward. No more cutesy-cutesy because my son is a big boy now that my previous look doesn’t represent us anymore.
I did everything myself, except for the back-end migrating and coding part which my loving and wonderful husband took care of (Thanks, Love!). I was supposed to outsource everything (design and migration), from Mommies from my WAHM group on Facebook offering their services to me. But Oscar decided to gift me with this instead. A perfect upcoming birthday/anniversary gift if you ask me! We saved a couple of bucks too! Lots of thanks to all the WAHMies that offered their services. Truly appreaciate it! But who can say no to something free? 😀 I’ll talk more about the migration process and what helped me through it all. I’m no WordPress expert even though I’ve worked on the platform in my previous job. It certainly can fry my brain dry and that’s why I loved Blogger for so long!
Anyhoo! This means that I can write, write, write again (even though sometimes I procrastinate too much I end up not writing at all!) and finally get the ball rolling on my much awaited Birthday Giveaway Part 2! I know, I know. It’s already October, why the heck am I still doing a Birthday Giveaway. A promise is a promise! Besides, a lot of people in my family celebrates their birthday this month, so there! :p
Okay, I’m sharing my To-Do here so you can get an idea where I’m at.
Okay, I’m drifting off again realizing I have so many things to do! We can do this! I mean, I can do this! A little support, folks? 😀
