I’m not much of a coffee drinker. I think the only time I was consuming iced coffee drinks was back in college with a reason to do so to help me study past midnight. So really, I don’t go to coffee shops.
But two weeks ago, I was invited by the folks of Figaro to join them at their blogger event to introduce a couple of new items on their menu.
I wish I had gone to the event with an empty stomach because there were a lot of food to try out! Figaro introduced their Buon Lite Meals:
Tilapia en Papillote (P239)
Tilapia fillet with lemon, capers & herbs.
Basil Penne Insalata (P150)
A healthy mix of scrumptious sun dried tomatoes, black olives, feta cheese & basil pesto penne topped with square ham.
They also added a classic Filipino merienda, Pancit Luglug (P155).
For refreshments, I got to try Kape Indochine, Figaro’s Barako Coffee that is traditionally brewed in Vietnamese style. Served hot or iced. I liked it! Like I said, I’m not a coffee drinker, but this one is amazingly light to taste, not too dark, or creamy, or sweet. Just right!
Of course, a trip to Figaro would not be complete without having cake! We got to try their new Blue Velvet Cake and Tablea Blackout Cake.
Tablea Blackout Cake (P115/slice)
This Tablea Blackout Cake brings the deeper level of chocolate flavor experience. The moist cake core is frosted with toasted earthy tablea pudding.
Blue Velvet Cake (P110/slice)
It is the perfect twist to the traditional Red Velvet Cake we all know and love. This time with delicious blueberry cream cheese frosting to delight your sweet cravings.
I liked the Blue Velvet Cake better because I’m not much of a chocolate lover either.
Before we left, they served their summer coolers. They said Four Seasons is their best seller. I agree! It’s the best out of the bunch. Maybe Jacob would like the Banana Choconut Fusion.
We’ll be coming back to Figaro next week to get a whole Blue Velvet Cake for the whole fam. I got to take home a slice of Blue Velvet Cake and some of the basil penne pasta. It’s so nice they took notice of what I loved the most! Thanks, Figaro!
