I love celebrating birthdays! I think there never was a birthday that I didn’t celebrate with family and friends. If you know me, you’d know that I actually start planning my birthday celebration once June hits. Yes, I like to be prepared. I start budgeting for the party, picking a place (if we’re not celebrating at home), making the guest list, and planning the food.

Usually, I’d prefer to just celebrate at home because it’s more comfortable for everyone than be out at some restaurant. But since I’m a September girl, the weather here in Manila is not very kind to me. It’s always, and I mean ALWAYS, raining at least 3 days before my actual birthday, thus flooding our street, thus making it impossible for cars to drive through the water. It’s been that way ever since I was a little kid. Parties postponed, etc.

Thankfully, we were able to get out of the house on the day of my actual birthday so we could go to Vikings Buffet in Mall of Asia! Hooray! MORE AFTER THE JUMP!

I believe the rates is still the same.

Since we last visited Vikings Buffet Manila, I have been looking forward to going back. I took note of their on going promo that would end September 30th, where birthday celebrants can eat for FREE on the day of their birthday! So I happily invited our closest friends for lunch, including our friend, Nonon, who was celebrating his birthday that day as well. I wasn’t able to take pictures of the buffet spread at Vikings this time because we had Jacob with us and I was tired!

I actually didn’t get to eat lots, which sucks because here I am getting my lunch buffet free and I’m barely eating! It’s probably because I didn’t sleep well the night before (and the nights before that…) so I was low on energy. I did enjoy the special order of tenderloin steak with truffle sauce that Oscar got. But luckily the boys (yes, I don’t have enough girl friends!) enjoyed the buffet at Vikings. We actually stayed until they closed around 3:00 PM. Jacob ate baked macaroni, some chocolate covered marshmallows, and fruit salad. The boys lounged around with mugs of draft beer which was also offered at Vikings.

It was well worth the trip and the wait spending my birthday at Vikings Buffet Manila. I wish we could go once a month or at least have the birthday promo until end of December so Oscar can celebrate his birthday there as well. But that’s asking too much! They really are worth the price no matter what day or service you go to.

My birthday celebration doesn’t stop there. I ended up having a joint party with Jacob’s Dedication at The Linden Suites in Ortigas during the weekend. That’s coming up next!
